In 1996 Frank Cocuzzoli understood that the automatic door industry was in need of a new, dymanic manufacturer. Frank's 35 years of experience in the industry equipped him with the knowledge to design and build superior products and the motivation to bring an innovative product to the market.

Hunter Automatics began manufacturing during 1998, primarily servicing Toronto and the surrounding region

The HA8 automatic door operator was the initial product offered to customers and facilitated the penetration of the highly competitive automatic door industry. After several years of successfully providing an apparatus for automating swinging doors a more ambitious objective was outlined. Designing a complete automatic sliding door package was an important step in maintaining and expanding Hunter Automatics profile.

In 2000 the automatic sliding door package DS18 was complete and production began. Following the DS18 other products ranging from a telescopic slider to a smaller version of the DS18 were introduced.

Having a complete catalogue of products allowed Hunter Automatics to increase their scope of operations. A campaign to locate distributors across Canada began and resulted in Hunter Automatics having representation throughout the Canadian market. Hunter Automatics is focused on expanding its international presence and has recently begun a venture to open dedicated US operations.
